ABOUT
LANDSCAPE PAINTER · YANGON, MYANMAR
I started painting in 2019, and since then it has become a meaningful part of my life. I'm especially drawn to realistic, reference-based art — whether it's a quiet landscape or a portrait full of personality. I enjoy taking time to observe details, study light, and explore how colors interact to shape emotion and mood in a piece.
I work with a mix of mediums, mainly acrylic on canvas, wall painting, and pencil sketch. Each one gives me a different way to express ideas: acrylic for its boldness, murals for their scale and impact, and pencil for its simplicity and precision. No matter the medium, I love the process of slowing down, observing, and translating what I see onto a surface.
Nature, portrait studies, and observation drawing are the areas that inspire me the most. I enjoy experimenting with color and finding new ways to bring everyday scenes and faces to life.
I've also had the opportunity to take part in "The Light," a group art exhibition featuring multiple artists. For this show, I created around 10 artworks — each one representing a step forward in my artistic journey.
"I paint Myanmar the way I remember it at first light — when the colour has not yet decided what it wants to be."
